Product description The Elite 400W PRO Pure Sine Wave DC to AC Power Inverter by Wagan Tech allows you to power or charge most laptops, USB devices, and other electronics in your vehicle or boat with the same clean power you get from the AC wall outlets at home. Unlike inverters that produce modified sine wave power, the Elite 400W PRO converts DC power to pure sine wave AC, which allows your sensitive electronics, such as audio/video systems, computers, and communications equipment, to operate cooler, quieter, and more efficiently.Featuring two three-prong grounded AC outlets and one USB power port, the inverter runs on 12 VDC and continuously delivers 400W AC power at 120V, 60 Hz. The surge capability of 800W accommodates devices that draw higher wattage upon start-up or at certain points in their operation. Neutral to ground bond is provided for use in marine environments. Two power cables are provided—one that plugs into a vehicle cigarette lighter socket and another with alligator clips for attaching directly to battery terminals. The inverter warns you when your car's battery has been drawn down to 10.5V and will automatically shut off when the battery's remaining power reaches 9.5V. It also offers overload, overheat, short-circuit, and reverse polarity protection. - Converts 12 VDC to 120 VAC to run and charge household electronics in vehicle or boat
