Product description Designed for electric guitar players, the Walrus Audio Janus is a fuzz and tremolo pedal with a few esoteric controls. You’ll note, right off the bat, the two joystick controllers. These afford you an approach to blending parameters in a manner similar to an X/Y controller. For instance, moving the tremolo joystick from the left to right adjusts the depth of the effect, while up and down movements adjust the rate. Utilizing a diagonal motion from down-right to upper-left on a sustained chord will create a swell in both rate and depth at the same time. The fuzz joystick offers similar control over the amount and tone of the fuzz, with left-to-right dictating fuzz level, and up/down motions affecting tone. With two footswitches on hand, the tremolo and fuzz sections can be used independently or together in series, creating a wide array of eccentric timbres. A mode switch changes the arrangement of clipping diodes to give you different colors of distortion, while a bass toggle puts more low-end into the signal, mitigating the bass-cutting effects of fuzz circuits in general. This pedal features true-bypass circuitry on both of its circuits, so when the Janus is disengaged, your tone remains unaffected and pristine. A separately-available 9 VDC power supply is required for powering the Janus. - Controls at a Glance
