Product description Designed for electric guitarists, the Walrus Audio Iron Horse LM308 is a distortional pedal inspired by the classic screamers of yesteryear, giving you thick, punchy tones by means of its relatively simple control set. The pedal provides a level knob, a tone knob, a distortion knob, and a mode toggle, as well as a true bypass circuit. Level dictates the overall gain, distortion allows you to crank the attitude, while the tone knob filters/accentuates your high-end. A mode toggle switches between clipping diodes, adding further tonal possibilities by means of its three settings. With all these controls at your disposal, you can generate anything from thick, churning rhythm tones to searing sounds suitable for soloing. This pedal can be powered by a 9V battery or an external power supply, available separately. - Controls at a Glance
- Level Knob: This controls the output level.Distortion Knob: This control adjusts the distortion output. Turn it clockwise to increase amount of distortion. As it is increased, the signal becomes louder, thicker, and more distorted. Turn the knob counterclockwise to decrease amount of distortion.Tone Knob: This control adjusts the high end/treble frequencies. Turn clockwise to increase high/treble frequencies, and turn it counterclockwise to decrease high/treble frequencies (while introducing some low/bass frequencies into the signal as well).Mode Switch: This toggles between clipping diodes to create different sounding distortions.
