Product description The Warm Audio EQP-WA Pultec Style Tube Equalizer is a re-creation of one of the most world-renowned tube equalizers in studio history, the "Pultec EQP-1A." To achieve this, the company used top-end components such as CineMag I/O transformers and premium high voltage 12AX7 and 12AU7 tubes to re-create both the sonic and aesthetic character of the original.
The fully discrete design includes a CineMag inductor EQ section that is bypassable so that the unit can still be used to warm your signal without using the EQ section. It provides XLR and TRS transformer-balanced inputs and outputs with no insertion loss.
It has a flat frequency response from 20 to 50,000 Hz. A 12 dB low frequency boost and an 18 dB low frequency cut is available at 20, 30, 60, 100, 200, 400, and 800 Hz. An 18 dB high frequency boost is available at 3, 4, 5, 8, 10, 12, and 16 kHz. A high frequency cut of 14 dB is available at 3, 4, 5, 10, and 20 kHz. The five added frequency points provides greater flexibility and the boost and cut controls can be used simultaneously to achieve a phase effect.
