Product description The Watson Step Down Voltage Converter (500 Watt) is designed to convert European voltage standards to North American voltage standards. It is rated for devices using a maximum of 500 watts. This Step Down Voltage Converter comes with a power cord with a 2-prong European type plug, to connect to a European wall plug. On the front end it features two USA type outlets that can accept either 2-prong or 3-prong USA plugs. This allows grounded or ungrounded 3-prong and 2-prong North/South American devices rated for 110/125 volts to be used in 220/250 volt countries. Note: It is reccomended that the wattages of your appliances be at least 50 watts lower than the wattage capability of your converter.
Voltage converters do not convert electric cycles (60 Hz American vs. 50 Hz foreign). Check with your appliance manufacturer if you have any questions. - 500 Watt Rating
