Built with performance-enhancing features, the 1TB Laptop Performance Retail Kit from WD is designed for notebooks, photo and video editing, gaming, and power users. This drive features a 1TB storage capacity, 2.5" form factor, SATA II 3 Gb/s interface, 8MB cache, and 5400 rpm. Furthermore, NoTouch Ramp Load technology helps ensure less wear on the drive media and provides improved protection while on the go.

    Backup and Upgrade
  • Acronis True Image WD Edition software, available as a free download, can clone drives and backup your operating system, applications, settings and all of your data.
    Dynamic Cache
  • Performance is improved in real time by optimizing cache allocation between reads and writes. For example, if there's an overwhelming percentage of read traffic as opposed to write traffic, the drive automatically allocates more cache for read data.
    Mechanical Architecture
  • Enhanced reliability features help protect the drive and the data stored on it.
    NoTouch Ramp Load Technology
  • The recording head never touches the disk media, helping to ensure less wear to the recording head and media, as well as better drive protection in transit.
