Product description The Westcott Recessed Mega JS Apollo (50 x 50") is a softbox based on an umbrella frame. It needs no speed ring to attach it to a studio flash head. Simply open it, and slide the shaft into the umbrella receptor on the flash head. You can also use the Mega JS Apollo with your on-camera flash by purchasing Westcott's 5015 Shoe Mount Bracket (BH# WESMMA). - Perfect Paired
- The convenience of an umbrella meets the control of a softbox. Built on an umbrella frame, the Apollo light modifiers set up in seconds.
- Perfect on Location
- No additional parts and pieces to lug around as these units simply open up just like an umbrella and set up in seconds making them perfect for any on-location photographer.
- No Adapter Ring Required
- Most softboxes require expensive and heavy adapter rings to properly set up. Built on an umbrella frame, these units simply pop open like an umbrella and fit into the umbrella receptacle found on virtually all style "studio" lights.
- Perfectly Paired with Speedlights
- The Apollo light modifier is a perfect pair with speedlights offering soft box control with the set up ease of an umbrella. An optional 5015 Shoe Mount bracket is required to mount the speedlights and Apollo onto a light stand with full tilting capability.
- 104 Degree Light Spread
- The larger the light source, the softer the light. That is certainly the case with this extra-large 50" JS Apollo. Perfect for portraits and couples, this unit also offers a recessed edge allow better control of light.
- Pure Color
- Fabrics are pure in color so the color temperature going into the fabric is the same color temperature coming back out.
- Recessed Edge
- The large recessed edge provides even greater light control allowing feathering of light to see exactly where the light is starting and stopping.
