• Solix LED Light Compact Kit
  • Introducing the Westcott Solix LED
  Portable and powerful, the Solix LED Light, which is available here as a Compact Kit from Westcott, will create a continuous light that will appeal to photographers and videographers who often find themselves on the move. The daylight-balanced 5600K fixture boasts an output of 2100 lux at 3.3' with a wide beam angle of 120 degrees, accurate color, a CRI of 96 and a TLCI of 97. Also, for speed and ease of use the Solix features an integrated, rotatable speed ring that directly accepts many softboxes and octaboxes up to 4.5 lb.
  
  The durable housing features a control dial and display for adjusting the power output of the light, which is flicker-free all the way up to 960 fps. The light also features a D-tap connection for either AC or DC power and draws just 60W, even with an impressive output of 2100 lux at 3.3'. It comes with removable barndoors and a frosted diffusion cap for added control over light quality. These are mounted via an all-metal magnetic ring for quick attachment and removal. A Tether Tools PowerStrap is bundled in as well for securing the power supply directly to a stand. Additionally, it has a built-in tilting bracket with 5/8" receiver and umbrella receptacle for mounting to a stand and comes with a case. UPC: 812735027449
• ProSoftbox with Silver Interior (24 x 32") The 24 x 32" Westcott Pro Softbox is made from double-layer heat shield fabric, and features spring-steel rods and tent-style vents. It comes with a silver interior and offers heat resistance up to 500W.

  Heat Vents

  • Tent-style heat vents allow for additional ventilation when used with hot lights. ¹

    Please Note:

    Heat vents are not required to be used when using hot lights. They are only optional as the fabric shell is designed to withstand the rated maximum wattage. close

  Durable Corners

  • The Softbox provides a double layer of loop tape over this section to protect against softbox rods protruding through the fabric.

  Removable Inner Baffle

  • The removable full stop inner baffle helps to soften and spread the light when used in conjunction with strobes and hot lights. ²

    Please Note:

    When using fluorescents, it is recommended that the inner baffle be completely removed. Because of the diffuse nature of the fluorescent lamp itself, it is not needed to achieve even and diffused lighting and many times can flatten the light too much. close

  Removable Outer Diffusion

  • A wide 2.0" (50.8mm) layer of loop tape allows the front diffusion panel to either be recessed in for more direction and control or placed flush with the edge of the softbox for a wider lighter spread. In addition, this wide loop tape area provides for the attachment of accessories such as egg-crate grids (sold separately).

  Attach Grids

  • Egg-crate grids (sold separately) can easily be attached to the softbox using the 2.0" (50.8mm) loop tape.

  Included Carry Case

  • Each softbox includes a carry case with a handle strap.

  Pairing

  • When used with the Spiderlite series heads (sold separately) no adapter ring is required.
• Strip Softbox with Silver Interior (12x36") The Westcott Strip Softbox with Silver Interior (12x36") is made of quality fabrics and is now available with a silver interior. Rods are metal - no fiberglass to break. Around the light, the fitted collar is made of heat retardant material. This softbox may be used with strobes or with "hot" lights up to 750W. The Strip Bank comes with two removable inner baffles. One is solid white and will give the effect of having a "hot spot" in the center. The other baffle is white with a silver circular center. The silver circular center is used to bounce the light off the back of the unit causing much more even light. Additionally - the front diffusion panel is also removable. Required Speed (mounting) Rings are available separately for your light fixture.
  • Use this size for dramatic edge-lighting, or for a soft hair light for small group of people.
  • An optional Accessory Kit is available and contains a circular face mask, two strip light panels and four gold/white panels, which allow instant interior color change.
