Product description Wescott's Strobelite 2 Light Educational Kit is a great way to take studio quality lighting on the road. With a combined 600 effective watt/seconds, you have more than enough power for portraits, groups or product work. The kit is built around the Strobelite flash head which offers 300 effective watt/seconds of power with stepless variability from 25% to full power, as well as fast, 2.5 second recycle times and built-in optical slaves to avoid a tangle of PC cords. The 100W modeling lamp allows you to pre-visualize the light falling on your subject before triggering your Strobelite. Convenience features include a ready light and audible beep to insure that your lights are powered up and ready for action. The kit includes two 43" white translucent umbrellas, two 6.5' light stands and a carry case. A unique aspect of this kit is the inclusion of a light-placement floor mat and dedicated Educational DVD that walks you through lighting techniques and setups. 43" White Umbrella - Strobelite Monolight The Westcott Strobelite is a 150Ws lightweight, inexpensive monolight which includes a modeling light for ease of composition as well as a reflector and mini to PC sync cord. The Strobelite recycles to full power in 2.5 seconds with action-stopping flash durations of 1 - 3 ms. The high-impact polycarbonate housing includes an integral grip handle which is especially useful with large softboxes or umbrellas.

Sturdily built with fiberglass rods and a metal shaft, this umbrella is well-suited to group shots, providing fill light and high key effects. It also has the ability to become a shoot-through modifier. Instead of traditionally bouncing your light source inside the umbrella, turn it around and aim the convex side of the umbrella toward your subject. While still diffused, you'll get wide coverage and a snappy look with more contrast.
