Product description The CAB DRIVER from Whirlwind is a compact test device that allows you to check the operation of speaker components within enclosures. The device generates a pink noise signal, which is sent to your speaker components. The CAB DRIVER has a number of speaker connectors, which are chosen via pushbutton selectors. The connectors include Speakon NL8 and NL4, 1/4" TS, and banana jacks. An XLR line output allows you to feed the pink noise signal to self-powered speakers. The pink noise level can also be adjusted to the proper levels for use with subwoofers, midrange drivers, and tweeters.
The unit also offers a DC Ohms test function, which sends a 5VDC current to the selected output, in order to identify speaker and cabling polarity errors. This test will also activate LED indicators that show whether a component has an impedance of 4, 8, or 16 Ohms. The CAB DRIVER can operate on 4 AA batteries, or an external 6VDC power supply. Note: Batteries and power supply sold separately. - Multiple speaker connectors, including Speakon NL8 and NL4, 1/4" TS, and banana jacks.
