Product description The Whirlwind LMPRE Microphone Preamplifier adds up to 70dB of gain to one microphone channel. Its compact design makes it an extremely portable and efficient choice to keep in your audio toolbox.
The LMPRE has a balanced XLR input with switchable phantom power. Its initial gain stage is followed by a built-in equalizer, with a low band at 250Hz and high band at 4kHz. These fixed bands are mainly intended to maximize intelligibility; they can be cut or boosted by approximately 6dB.
A rare feature in an affordable preamp, the LMPRE includes an onboard peak limiter with LED metering. The activity of the limiter is governed entirely by the input level, which makes it free to function like an effect rather than simply an output protector.
The LMPRE has balanced XLR and mono-summed RCA outputs for connection to just about any audio amplification system. The 3-level LED output metering allows you to carefully monitor signal strength.
The Whirlwind LMPRE is an excellent choice for adding a high-quality mic input to any audio system. - Whirlwind LMPRE Microphone Preamplifier
