Product description Designed for use by sportscasters, the THS 3 Talkback Headphone Box and Sports Announcer Console from Whirlwind features separate main and talkback XLR microphone outputs, with a latching switch that controls the main mic output, and momentary switch for the talkback output, which mutes the main mic output. Additionally, a momentary cough switch can be used to silence the mic for use in its namesake application. The unit can provide 36V phantom power for condenser microphones.
The THS 3's headphone section features 2 inputs, each with an XLR and 1/4" connector, with each input being able to be assigned to left, right, or both ears, and with individual headphone volume controls for each ear. Input signals can be either balanced mono or unbalanced stereo. A rear-panel switch selects the proper mode. - Separate left and right headphone amps with individual volume controls
- Two headphone signal inputs can be assigned to either or both ears
- Balanced or unbalanced inputs on XLR or 1/4" TRS jacks
- Passive Mic Out for on-air reliability
- Mic output switching is completely silent
- Active line level Talkback Out with level adjust
- Mic On, Cough and Talkback switches for control
- 1/4" TRS or 3.5mm headphone jacks
