Product description The THS 5 Talkback Headphone Box from Whirlwind is a sports announcer console with a professional set of features for the ultimate in monitoring flexibility. There are two balanced XLR inputs for headphones, each with volume and pan control. The announcer's microphone can also be added to the headphone mix via volume and pan pots, while the master headphone volume controls the overall mix. Headphones with an impedance ranging 30 to 600 ohms can be driven to full volume. The THS-5 offers both main and talkback outputs with a latching Mic On/Off switch, which connects the signal to the Mic outputs. A red light is used to indicate when the mic out is live and is turned off by the Cough and Talkback switches. The 36V phantom power is enough to power most condenser microphones and provides seamless switching when Talkback is activated. The momentary Cough switch silences both the mic to the Talkback output when depressed, while the momentary Talkback switch connects the microphone to the Talkback output and mutes the mic out. The THS-5 ships with a power supply. -
