Product description The Williams Sound Pointmaker CPN-5800 is an HDCP- and HID-compliant miniature live streaming annotation system offering versatile annotation and control functionality for presenters and instructors in meetings, conferences, and educational facilities. Give wireless presentations and annotate via your iPad (available separately), or utilize a touchscreen, digitizing tablet, keyboard, or electronic whiteboard. Save annotated images and print directly to a color Postscript printer. HDMI and VGA ports accommodate video input resolutions up to 1920 x 1080, and scale any input to 4:3, 16:9, or 16:10 aspect ratios at up to 1920 x 1200 output resolution. Route analog audio via 3.5mm I/O connectors or extract HDMI audio to the analog output. A dedicated menu allows volume adjustments for the analog and digital I/O as well as the master output. An RJ45 socket is provided for audio/video streaming and remote control. Connect a variety of USB devices such as a computer or USB flash drive via the four USB Type-A ports and single USB Type-B port. The CPN-5800 includes a pair of rack ears, keyboard, 16GB USB flash drive, and power supply with an IEC power cable. - iPad Presentations
- Give wireless presentations from your iPad (available separately) to a big screen or projector. The CPN-5800 also works in conjunction with the free PVI Control app, which allows presenters to execute commands, select video sources, and annotate from an iPad.
- Live Video Streaming
- Stream video of any non-HDCP source, with a minimal delay to the Windows 7 Stream Viewer app. Stream to the iPad with the latest version of the PVI Control app (streams to iPad 3 and 4, plus iPad mini).
- Audio Streaming
- With the addition of streaming audio, users now have three ways to output audio: by passing it over digital video, using the analog audio out, or by streaming audio over a network.
- Digital Audio Extractor
- The CPN-5800 features a digital audio de-embedder/embedder with analog stereo output, eliminating the need to buy an audio breakout or extractor box. It also offers the ability to switch audio with the digital video signal.
- Volume Control
- The volume menu in the CPN-5800 allows independent fine-tuning of analog and digital outputs, and features a master control to adjust overall volume. As with other commonly used Pointmaker features, volume can also be controlled from most third-party control systems.
- EDID Control
- Change the reported native resolution of the Pointmaker via the EDID (Extended Display Identification Device) menu. By default, the CPN-5800 reports a native resolution of 1920 x 1080 at 60 Hz, but users can now change this reported resolution. This feature is particularly useful to force a resolution change in a connected video source, such as a computer.
- Focus Audience Attention
- Draw, write, or highlight over documents, photos, slides, live web pages, or AV images (even HDCP).
- Easy Configuration
- In large installations, the CPN-5800 can be connected as an input to (and output from) a matrix switcher, allowing annotation over any video looped through the CPN-5800. You can also quickly connect the CPN-5800 in small installations that use only a laptop and document camera.
- Small Footprint
- At just over 6" wide and 1 RU high, the CPN-5800 fits with room to spare into various A/V systems including courtrooms, lecterns, training facilities, and boardrooms.
- HID Compliant
- The CPN-5800 not only works with hundreds of non-HID (Human Interface Device) devices, it also recognizes HID-compliant touch screens, allowing for a greatly expanded list of compatible models.
- Versatile Controller Support
- Utilize iPads with iOS 6 or later, approved touchscreens, digitizing tablets, keyboards, or electronic whiteboards as controllers for the CPN-5800.
- Color Printing
- The CPN-5800 supports UNIX LP printing directly from the unit to a color Postscript printer.
- Image Saving
- Save annotated images to your iPad photo album, USB flash drive, or via TFTP.
