Product description Enjoy your favorite music via DTS Play-Fi with the rosewood Wren Sound Systems V5PF12 Play-Fi Speaker. In addition to streaming uncompressed audio via Play-Fi, it also has a 1/8" input for wired devices. It provides 25W of power per channel from its two 3" woofers and two 0.7" tweeters, powered by a Class-D digital amplifier. The speaker will also charge most portable devices with the included Mini USB and Micro USB cables through the built-in USB port. - High-Performance Drivers
- The Wren V5AP12 makes music using two 3" throw drivers with four-layer voice coils to handle power while dissipating heat. High frequencies are rendered by a pair of edge-driven, wide-dispersion 0.7" soft-dome tweeters positioned on the front baffle.
- DSP-Controlled Digital Amplifier
- The Wren V5AP12 is powered by Intersil's D2 Audio DSP-controlled digital amplifier with 50 watts of power. Wren's DSP optimization enhances the bass while minimizing distortion.
- Solid Anti-Resonance Enclosure
- Beneath the wood veneers, the Wren V5AP12 cabinet is constructed of 0.5"-thick MDF board constructed by laminating layers together, and reinforced with an internal MDF brace to provide a chassis that's virtually free from resonance and coloration.
- Acoustic-Damping Silicone Base Pad
- The underside of the Wren V5AP12 is covered with a 0.2" soft silicone pad that stabilizes the chassis and absorbs any cabinet vibration, eliminating surface coupling buzz and coloration.
- Acoustically Transparent Grille Frame
- The grille on the Wren V5AP12 incorporates such design features as radius ribs, which add stiffness without diffraction, and a diamond matrix that creates more open space so sound is not restricted.
