Product description Bundling the extra-large format target with a dedicated case, the ColorChecker Video XL with Carrying Case from X-Rite includes the large-scale version of the ColorChecker to help ensure accurate color balance and exposure, as well as configurable case for protecting it when not in use. - ColorChecker Video XL Helping to achieve accurate and consistent colors, the ColorChecker Video XL from X-Rite is an extra-large format color and exposure target well-suited for working at greater distances and wider shooting angles. Twice as large as the standard ColorChecker Video, this XL version eliminates the need to move your camera or adjust the focal length simply to record the target in the scene. Besides its larger size, this XL target contains the same chromatic colors, skin tones, and gray chips as the other versions, making it suitable for use with waveforms, vectorscopes, zebras, and other tools for affecting color and exposure.
- Chromatic Colors
- Two rows of six chromatic colors are featured, with both saturated and desaturated values, which are designed to align with the primary color axis on a vectorscope. These colors provides two levels of color information for quickly removing color casts and producing an ideal and even color balance.
- Skin Tones
- Positioned on the edge of the target is a range of color chips designed to represent various skin tones from light to dark with subtle undertones.
- Gray Levels
- In the center of the target are four larger gray steps to aid in gray balancing, and include white, 40IRE gray, deep gray, and high gloss black. These levels can be used to determine proper exposure when using a waveform, zebras, or false colors and can be especially useful in multiple camera setups to ensure consistent exposure and mid-tone rendition.
- Linear Grayscale
- Six chips are used to display a linear gray scale to help in achieving an accurate gray balance, especially in regard to the highlight and shadow regions.
- Illumination Check Chips
- Black and white chips are located at two of the corners to aid in determining even illumination across the target.
- Software Support
- The ColorChecker Video XL target is supported in both DaVinci Resolve and 3DLUT Creator for greater efficiency when color grading.
- Carrying Case for ColorChecker Video XL Complementing your X-Rite ColorChecker Video XL, this Carrying Case is a durable and versatile means for protecting, porting, and storing the target. The configurable case has a self-standing position, for propping up the target whenever needed, or can lay flat to remain out of the way. It has both a carry handle and a should strap, and a zippered pocket on the back of the case can be used for accessory storage. Additionally, the case has a black polyester exterior with a soft tricot lining to protect the target during travel.
