Product description RAID Arrays for Photography and Pro Video Read More This Kit includes the Xcellon DRD-401 Four-Bay RAID System, four 500GB Samsung Evo Solid State Drives, and four Newer Technology AdaptaDrive 2.5" to 3.5" Drive Converter Brackets. The included drive converter brackets enable you to install the included 2.5" SSDs into the 3.5" drive bays found on the DRD-401 RAID system. Once placed into the brackets, the drives can easily be inserted into the storage enclosure giving you a total storage capacity of 2.0TB to utilize in a variety of ways.
Seven RAID modes deliver a variety of options when it comes to read/write functions, data storage, and backup, and are configurable via the DIP switches located on the rear of the device or the included software. The software also offers advanced RAID configuration, firmware updates, and event logging.
The DRD-401 is equipped with eSATA, FireWire 400, two FireWire 800, and a USB 3.0 port, plus all necessary interface cables. With compatible devices, the dual FireWire 800 ports allow daisy-chaining, and the USB 3.0 port can attain maximum transfer rates of up to 5.0 Gbps. - 4 x NewerTech AdaptaDrive 2.5" to 3.5" Drive Converter Bracket The AdaptaDrive 2.5" to 3.5" Drive Converter Bracket from Newer Technology enables you to install a 2.5" hard drive or SSD in a 3.5" SATA drive bay. This bracket features a circuit board bridge adapter that supports SATA III interfaces. By offering a bridge adapter with this bracket, you can easily install a faster 2.5" drive to the backplane tray in Mac Pros. This adapter delivers direct pass through performance so your SATA III drive maintains its 6 Gb/s transfer speed without any slowdown from bottlenecking or performance throttling. For supporting drives with slower SATA speeds, it is also backwards compatible with SATA II and SATA I interfaces. In addition, the aluminum converter bracket features an open design, which allows your cooling system to provide cool air to flow around the drive.
