It features the carbon-skinned Xcraft X PlusOne Platinum, a quad-rotor hybrid aircraft that tilts forward in flight to achieve airplane-like speeds. In addition, a 2-Axis Gimbal stabilizer is included that allows you to mount a GoPro HERO to record a record of your flights. - Xcraft X PlusOne Platinum Quadcopter (Carbon Skinned) Combining the vertical takeoff and landing capability of a multi-rotor with the performance of a fixed-wing airplane, the carbon skinned X PlusOne Platinum from Xcraft features a top speed of 60 mph. This is accomplished by integrating a wing surface into the airframe. Once in the air, pitch the nose forward 90 degrees to enable high-speed flight. Since there are no traditional airplane flight surfaces, pitch, roll, and yaw control are accomplished by varying the motor speeds.
The X PlusOne Platinum bundle features a Pixhawk flight controller, GPS, telemetry (air unit only), one flight battery, charger, and transmitter (radio controller). - Hybrid VTOL / Airplane Design
- The X PlusOne can take off, hover, and land like a traditional multi-rotor, but that's where the similarities stop. In place of the quadcopter frame is an upward-facing wing. This allows the X PlusOne to pitch over 90 degrees and fly nose-first at over 60 mph. Flight control is handled by varying motor speed to provide pitch, roll, and yaw control, even in forward flight mode. There are no traditional flight control surfaces on the X PlusOne, thereby saving weight and complexity.
- Intelligent Flight Control System
- If you can fly a multi-rotor or an RC airplane, you can fly the X PlusOne. The craft self-stabilizes in both hover and forward flight modes. Transitioning between the two is a matter of simply flipping one switch. Its on-board computer and sensors manage the details.
- Fully Autonomous Flight Plans
- Plan your missions using a Google Maps-like interface and let the craft fly the entire mission, takeoff to landing, without any user input.
- Follow-Me
- Have the X PlusOne auto-follow your laptop or tablet.
- Return-to-Launch
- When the battery is low or the radio signal is lost, the X PlusOne Platinum will automatically return to the launch position and land.
- Fixed Hovering
- The X PlusOne features custom control algorithms to keep the craft rock solid, even in windy conditions.
- Supports Camera Mounting
- Record your flights with either a GoPro HERO or XCraft's own FPV camera. There is also a 2-axis gimbal available to provide stabilization. Camera and gimbal are available separately.
