Product description Addictive Keys: Modern Upright from XLN Audio is a virtual instrument featuring a Yamaha U3 upright piano. It has a tight and defined tone with an airy ambience, and includes presets that cover everything from smooth jazz with a mellow, warm tone to bright pop with an upfront sound.
The samples were captured on a soundstage that is mainly used to broadcast live performances. The auditorium has a detailed ambience with a medium/long decay time. Seven microphone perspectives were used, ranging from close to far, floor to soundboard, and mono to stereo, which allow for tailoring the sound of the piano to the exact needs of a production.
An ExploreMap page within the interface contains a selection of presets that can be easily previewed and selected with a single click, making it easy to explore the various sounds possibilities. Many ExploreMaps also contain convenient macro controllers for fast and easy editing. Additionally, deeper editing is provided with effects and individual processing available for each microphone channel.
The My Cloud feature of Addictive Keys includes cloud storage of all presets and memos as long as the music computer is connected to the Internet. One benefit is a constant backup of presets and settings in the event of a computer crash or the acquisition of a new computer.
