Product description Addictive Keys: Studio Grand from XLN Audio is a virtual instrument featuring a nine foot sampled Steinway Model D Concert Grand piano. The piano was recorded in a large recording studio at the Swedish Broadcasting Corporation, a room famous for having a controlled acoustic ambience with reverberation that nonetheless sounds tight and airy at the same time.
The samples were captured using rare vintage tube and ribbon microphones at several different perspectives – from close up with microphones next to the soundboard, to far away with natural room ambience. The end result is a warm and vibrant sound that goes from intimate to larger-than-life.
An ExploreMap page within the interface contains a selection of presets that can be easily previewed and selected with a single click, making it easy to explore the various sounds possibilities. Many ExploreMaps also contain convenient macro controllers for fast and easy editing. Additionally, deeper editing is provided with effects and individual processing available for each microphone channel.
The My Cloud feature of Addictive Keys includes cloud storage of all presets and memos as long as the music computer is connected to the Internet. One benefit is a constant backup of presets and settings in the event of a computer crash, or the acquisition of a new computer. Another benefit is the ability to access user files across multiple computers and to share presets with other users. - Sample Recording Microphones
