Product description The Electric Grand is a virtual instrument plug-in from XLN Audio that features high-quality samples of the Yamaha CP-80, a popular electric piano produced in the late 70's through the mid 80's. The software is available for Mac and PC and can be used standalone or within your VST, RTAS, AU compatible host. Electric Grand supplies you with a plethora of different CP-80 tones that have been recorded in combination with other pieces of vintage gear using various techniques. First, the keyboard was recorded direct with a completely clean signal, and then again through a vintage Roland Dimension-D hardware chorus. For a more live sound, the CP-80 was paired with a Music Man 112 RD tube combo amp and recorded with three close microphones in mono and with one ambiance microphone in stereo. Last but not least, the instrument was recorded acoustically making for a total of seven different setups in mono and stereo with selectable microphone perspectives.
