- 3DColorJet Technology Explanation - Full HD
The da Vinci Color 3D Printer from XYZprinting features true color printing technology through the combination of inkjet and 3D printing processes. Droplets of ink from CMYK inkjet cartridges attach themselves to color-absorbing 3D Color-Inkjet PLA filament, allowing the da Vinci Color to create prints of various colors.
When engaged in full color printing, the da Vinci Color can render objects with a build volume of up to 7.8 x 7.8 x 5.9". Mono color printing, which does not use inkjet technology, is also available. In this case, the build volume is limited to 7.3 x 7.3 x 5.9".In addition to 3D Color-Inkjet PLA filament, the da Vinci Color is compatible with 1.75mm PLA, Tough PLA, and PETG filaments. Also featured is Fused Filament Fabrication (FFF) printing technology for 3D structures; 2D patterns for inkjet printing; a layer resolution of 100 to 400 microns; a maximum print speed of 120mm/s; a single extruder nozzle; an enclosed and non-heated printed bed; a 5" color LCD touchscreen; and automatic print bed calibration and automatic filament feeding.Users may print their compatible .amf, .ply, .obj, .stl, and .3cp files via wired USB, USB flash drives, or Wi-Fi connectivity with XYZmaker print software. Compatible operating systems include Mac OS 10.10, 10.11, and 10.12; Windows 10, 8, and 7 (64-bit); and Linux 14.04. General Features - Introduce More Vibrancy
- The da Vinci Color is XYZprinting's first FFF desktop 3D printer with true color technology, which is achieved through the combination of inkjet and 3D printing processes. By using CMYK inkjet technology, droplets of ink attach to the color-absorbing PLA filament, allowing the da Vinci Color to create prints of various colors by combining the droplets of ink on the filament. The da Vinci Color was designed with consumer accessibility, creativity, and ease of use in mind.
