Product description The dark rosewood Arius YDP-103R from Yamaha is an 88-key digital piano featuring a Graded Hammer Standard keyboard designed to emulate the feel of an acoustic piano. The matte finish of the black keys makes them less slippery when playing for extended periods of time, and the piano provides damper, sostenuto, and soft foot pedals with continuous control for extended expressiveness.
Soft, medium, hard, or fixed touch response can be selected to correspond to the performer's individual playing style. The AWM (Advanced Wave Memory) synthesis sound engine with 64-note polyphony powers ten built-in voices, and two voices can be layered for creating new sounds. A built-in metronome helps keep tempo when practicing, with playback coming from two oval speakers and built-in dual 6-watt amplifiers, or two 1/4" headphone jacks. - AWM (Advanced Wave Memory) synthesis delivers real piano sounds using digital recordings of acoustic instruments
- Graded Hammer (GHS) weighted keyboard mimics the touch of an acoustic piano, from the heavy feel in the lower register to a lighter touch in the upper octaves
- Matte finish of the black keys makes them less slippery when playing for extended periods of time
- Half-damper pedal control creates more detailed nuance and subtlety when playing, similar to pedaling on a grand piano, allowing for continuously increasing lengths of sustained notes, from slight to full
- Combine two voices together, such as piano and strings
- Transpose keyboard up or down half an octave
- When connected to external speakers, the built-in speakers can be muted
- "Digital Piano Controller" app has an interface optimized for iOS touchscreens, adding a new functionality to the instrument
- A standard USB cable can be used to connect the instrument to a computer or mobile device for creativity, entertainment or education
