Product description Bundled together by , this Yamaha DTX920K Electronic Drum Kit offers you the complete electronic drum set experience, with its DTX900M Trigger Module for generating sound, as well as its full set of pads, cymbals, hi-hats, toms, snare, and kick tower—they're all included. Furthermore, the DTX920K provides a drum rack for mounting the pads, the cymbals, and the all-important brain. Cables are also included for ease of connectivity. With this complete set, you'll have almost everything you need to start playing the electronic drums at home. - Yamaha DTX900M Drum Trigger Module The Yamaha DTX900M Drum Trigger Module incorporates the AWM2 tone generator and a sophisticated music sequencer. The drum trigger module provides full support for Yamaha trigger products and also sports a USB terminal for MIDI connections (in addition to conventional MIDI connectors). The module’s built-in sampling feature allows you to create your own Drum Voices. This module is suitable for applications such as live performances, rhythm training, music creation, studio recording, and personal practice.Designed primarily for professional drummers, the DTX900M Module has a drum trigger feature, 64-note polyphonic tone generator, sampling and import features that let you expand the available sounds, high-performance metronome (Click) feature, and built-in music sequencer that enables recording and playback of rhythm or accompaniment patterns, and even lets you create an entire song. It includes multiple digital effects for sweeting the sounds. The onboard memory provides 50 preset kits and 50 user kits. A USB storage device may be used to hold an additional 1584 user kits. The DTX900M features 15 trigger inputs plus a hi-hat control jack. Music from an external device can be routed to the aux input. Six individual outputs are provided in addition to the main left and right outs.
Sound for Live Performance & Recording - With the DTX900M Module, not only do you get the sounds of Yamaha acoustic kits, but also famous drum sounds from throughout the history of drumming, including drums and cymbals from different manufacturers; these are actual samples of real drums and not models, so they don't rely on heavy ambience processing to sound good
- By incorporating Xpanded Articulation technology from the MOTIF series, which creates subtly different samples even when you strike the drum with the same force, you will experience more natural snare rolls and be able to accurately recreate the feel of a hi-hat or ride cymbal to the finest detail
- You also get a collection of highly expressive world percussion instruments and electronic sounds
Expand Your Collection with New Sounds - With 512MB of sampling memory onboard, this module allows you to record new sounds and assign them to the pads, or import samples via a USB memory device right out of the box; this lets you stay updated with musical trends and take advantage of the many drum libraries available without having a computer on stage
- Loading new sounds gives the casual electronic drummer fresh new tones to play with, and you can further tweak those voices with the DTX900M Module's voice, pad, and effects settings
Digital Effects - Features 3 DSP effects blocks per kit that can be configured to produce digital effects
- Reverb effect has presets from the SPX2000 Professional Multi-Effect Processor
- Chorus features traditional effects as well as tempo-based delays, phasers, and flangers
- Variation block can be routed as either a send or insert to recreate buss-compression -- a studio technique whereby compressed sound is mixed with the dry signal to add punch without squashing the expressiveness of the performance
- You can add up the individual EQs for each drum and include the master effect and master EQ and you will have all the processing required to create drum tracks live or in the studio
Drummer Friendly Extras - Groove Check feature has been expanded to display the timing of up to 5 individual triggers at once; it provides instant feedback on your rhythmic skills-a powerful tool for improving your technique
- Whether you need to layer, stack, or alternate multiple sounds on any pad; assign user grooves to a single pad and tap tempo with another; or automatically load your samples on power-up, the DTX900M has it all
Playability & Feel - Use of the DTX-PAD's Drum Pads with the DTX900M Module allows all the nuances of expression you want when you are 'in the moment'
- The textured cellular silicone heads are designed with input from professional acoustic drummers, so they feel great without being bouncy or sensitive in one area
- With the real-time control knob on the XP120SD / XP100SD DTX-PAD Trigger Pads, you can adjust the virtual snares and tighten up the sound or loosen them all the way, which essentially offers you a digital throw-off
- You can also use your creativity and assign throw-off voices to have a completely new set of snare sounds or effect settings
Music Creation via USB Connectivity - Features USB host connectivity that allows you to easily connect a computer using a single USB cable (sold separately)
- You also get Cubase AI digital audio workstation (DAW) software application from Steinberg that lets you record, edit, and produce music from a Mac or PC
- By downloading the free DTX900M Extension (from Yamaha's website), you can use the front panel controls of the trigger module to control Cubase when connected via USB, allowing you to make music more efficiently
- With a USB device port, MIDI and audio information created on the computer can be freely exchanged with the DTX900M Module for even more creative potential
Drum Trigger - Compatible with the XP series pads
- Built-in 15 trigger input jacks and a hi-hat controller jack
- Features jacks that are compatible with 2-zone or 3-zone pads (pads that transmit different signals depending on the area that is hit)
- Snare drum jack is compatible with pad-controller-equipped pads, which lets you adjust the virtual snares and the tuning just as you would with a snare drum
- By combining the Stack function, which lets you play multiple voices (MIDI notes) at the same time along with the Alternate function, which lets you play a sequence of the Stack program, you can create complex performances and play passages in real-time that would otherwise be impossible on conventional acoustic drums
- The module features an Auto Power-Off function that helps to save energy should you forget to turn it off yourself; the function automatically turns off the drum trigger module after a set period of inactivity
Tone Generator - Equipped with a, 16-bit AWM2 (PCM) tone generator with 64-voice polyphony that produces dynamic voices or exceptional realism
- Features a wide variety of voices including authentic acoustic drums, unique electronic percussion, sound effects, and normal keyboard voices
- Can also be used as a high-quality drum tone generator along with various MIDI devices, even without using the drum pads
- Features 50 preset kits plus 50 user kits onboard, and you may use a USB memory device to hold 1,584 additional user kits for instant recall
- These preset drum kits contain natural, authentic sounding acoustic drum kits, and cover a wide range of music genres, such as rock, funk, jazz, reggae, Latin, etc. that let you set up your own original drum kits using the various drum voices
- An insertion effect for the sound input via the aux in / sampling in jack is provided, allowing you to adjust the quality of aux in / sampling in sound or record an audio signal to which the insertion effect is applied to the DTX900M Module in the sampling mode
Music Sequencer (Song) - Built-in sequencer contains a wide variety of preset songs
- Mute function lets you turn on/off the rhythm (drum & percussion sound) part, bass part, and other accompaniment part individually, or turn each track on/off
- You can record your performance in real-time and also allows you to play along with the song data while muting the original drum part
- Four Pad Songs can be individually controlled and simultaneously played by trigger input from the pads
High-Performance Metronome (Click) - DTX900M Module provides a comprehensive, multi-function metronome, allowing various click settings such as voice and tuning for each beat timing
- You can change the accent timing and use the measure break feature that alternates click playback between on and off (mute) repeatedly
- Includes a Rhythm Gate function that produces sounds only if your timing is accurate
Chain - There are 64 programmable chains that store 64 steps each, allowing you to create set lists and tempo maps for all your performance and practice needs
- Programming a chain sequence lets you call up the drum kit number, song number, and click settings (tempo and beat) in order during your live performance
- Each step in the programmed chain can be called up by hitting the pad
Interfaces - Each of the 6 individual output jacks can separately output any specified drum voice such as Snare and Tom to send each instrument signal to an external mixer for a live performance or recording session
- Digital output (S/PDIF) terminal lets you transfer the DTX900M Module's stereo sounds to other devices with no noise and full digital quality
- Built-in aux in / sampling in jack lets you connect a CD player to this module, allowing you to play the instrument along with CD playback as well as use the powerful sampling feature
