Product description The DXS18 18" 1020W Active Subwoofer from Yamaha provides powerful bass reinforcement in a compact design, ideal for use alongside the DXR and DSR full-range loudspeakers. The subwoofer has a wooden enclosure with an optimized band-pass design that delivers high SPL levels with minimal distortion. The high-power 18" woofer is capable of reproducing frequencies as low as 32Hz. It is finished with a durable Line-X elastomeric coating.
The subwoofer is driven by a Class-D amplifier with a peak power rating of 1020W for clear, powerful bass. D-XSUB processing is built into the subwoofer, allowing you to choose between Normal, Boost, or Xtended LF modes. For setups consisting of two or more DXS18 subwoofers, selecting the Cardioid Mode function effectively decreases stage-side sound pressure while increasing the bottom-end output directed towards the audience, resulting in a clearer stage monitoring environment and a more pronounced bass experience out front. The rear panel has XLR input and thru connectors for compatibility with a variety of speakers and sound systems. A standard 35mm pole socket allows you to mount a full-range speaker on top of the subwoofer, while integrated handles offer convenient transportation. - Ideal for bass reinforcement alongside the DXR and DSR full-range loudspeakers
