Product description The Genos 76-Key Arranger Workstation Keyboard from Yamaha is a performance and studio instrument that combines tone generation technology with powerful digital electronics. It can be used to create a wide variety sounds with musical versatility for musicians, songwriters, engineers, sound designers, and more.The Genos keyboard has touch response with aftertouch and simulates the subtle nuances and performance characteristics of musical instruments. When you play, Genos automatically chooses the appropriate samples in real time, according to what and how you play. Samples are joined and articulated, just as they would be naturally on an acoustic instrument.The keyboard is built with a 16-track MIDI sequencer, 32-bit digital audio converter (DAC), Vocal Harmony and Synth Vocoder effects, and a 9" touchscreen display; it is also equipped with assignable buttons to get to sounds and functions quickly. With 1710 instrument voices, 510 accompaniment styles, and 216 arpeggios, this keyboard has everything you need to inspire your creativity. Some of the natural sounding samples include: C7 Grand Piano, Kino Strings, and the Revo!Drum sounds.Furthermore, whatever the genre of music you wish to perform, Genos is ready to accompany you with an arrangement. A Multi Pad is available to play a number of short pre-recorded rhythmic and melodic sequences and loops so you can improvise on the fly. Finally, Genos features an intuitive interface for music-making and sound creation and is a creative tool for recording and performance applications. - Content
- Genos includes 1710 instrument voices, 550 accompaniment styles, 216 arpeggios, and more.
- Vocal Harmony and Synth Vocoder
- Apply Vocal Harmony effects to your voice as you sing, or use the Synth Vocoder to craft your voice onto synthesizer sounds and others.
- Expand your Music
- Use the YEM (Yamaha Expansion Manager), or the onboard 1.8GB of user flash memory. Expand the onboard content by creating and installing your own purchased packs. Genos has three USB-to-Device ports for you to store data.
- Control Your Music
- Select and enable parameters with the 9" color touchscreen. Choose from a range of functions to assign to the 6+1 assignable panel buttons. With a single touch, you can recall your desired function.
- Style Engine
- Genos features a variety of rhythmic backing patterns and accompaniments (called "Styles") in several different musical genres. The patterns are available to inspire your creativity.
- Registration Memory
- You can save (or "register") all panel settings to a memory button, and then recall the panel settings by pressing a single button.
- Shaping Your Ideas
- Start from the original idea of a song, and pick an instrument Voice and Style of your choice. Play and work out the arrangement and capture it as a MIDI song. Overdub some sounds and create your demo or your finished track.
- Recording Function (MIDI/Audio)
- Record your performance as audio (WAV) or Standard MIDI File (SMF) with the quick-recording feature. There is a 16-track MIDI sequencer with real-time and step-time functionality. When finished, store it on the internal User Drive or save it to USB Memory for sharing. Also, the S/PDIF digital output can be connected to compatible studio equipment or a home theater to output audio from Genos without any loss in quality.
