Product description Bundled by B&H for your convenience, the Yamaha Revstar RS420 Electric Guitar Starter Kit provides everything you'll need to get started playing the electric guitar. The kit comprises a Blackstar ID:Core Stereo 10 combo guitar amplifier (which is a 2x 5W two-channel entry-level amp), as well as a strap, a clip-on tuner, an assortment of picks, and—let's not forget—a handsome, double-cutaway electric guitar in the Revstar RS420, which has been styled in a fired red finish. This particular model sports a solid nato body with a maple top, a set-in nato neck with a 24.75" scale, a rosewood fingerboard, and 22 medium frets. The RS420 is equipped with two vintage-output humbucking pickups. Additionally, an instrument cable has been provided for connecting your instrument to the amplifier, ensuring that in its totality, this kit will render you ready to rock and roll. - Yamaha Revstar RS420 Electric Guitar (Fired Red) Styled in a fired red finish, the Yamaha Revstar RS420 is a solid-body electric guitar sporting a double-cutaway design with a small pickguard, a nato body, and a maple top. A 22-fret rosewood fingerboard sits atop the nato neck, and the strings are held in place by a tune-o-matic bridge and stop tailpiece. The body features a hidden forearm contour, a deep belly cut, and neck joint, which allows for easier upper-fret access.
For electronics, the RS420 is fitted with a pair of custom-wound VH3, vintage-output humbucking pickups, along with a 3-way selector switch and dual controls for master volume and master tone. The tone knob includes a push/pull Dry Switch, which filters out low frequencies to bring out the punch and clarity of a true single-coil pickup without the hum or hollow tone often associated with split humbucking pickups. It can be used for a variety of applications such as practicing or recording at home, rehearsing with a band, recording in the studio, or performing live.The ID:Core combo amplifier features two unique controls which allow you to custom design your own sound. The Infinite Shape Filter (ISF) and the Voice control. The Voice control has the following settings: Clean Warm, Clean Bright, Crunch, Super Crunch, Overdrive 1, and Overdrive 2. By using the Voice control together with the ISF, you can easily dial in a variety of sounds, giving you the ability to bring the sounds you hear in your head to life.In addition to its Super Wide Stereo design, the ID:Core's effects section delivers modulation, delay, and reverb effects simultaneously, as well as an envelope filter, which you can store with your sound. The Blackstar Insider software is used to edit and store up to six of your patches and can be uploaded and downloaded via the online community. Finally, a USB connector allows you to record from your amp directly to your computer. A speaker-emulated output and MP3/line input complete the package.
