Product description Building upon the success of the original 4K model, the YI Technology 4K+ Action Camera further ups the spec, enabling UHD 4K recording at 60 fps. This achievement is brought about by the Ambarella H2 SoC which includes a 64-bit quad-core processor. UHD video at 60 fps is great for showing your adventures in crisp detail without sacrificing smooth frame-rates. Alternatively, the footage can be slowed down in your editing suite for some cool slow-motion playback. While the chassis might be identical in its dimensions, YI upgraded the USB interface to Type-C, a more robust connection that offers quick data transfer speeds up to 40 MB/s. The YI 4K+ comes with an underwater housing so right out of the box it can be used to capture snorkeling and diving adventures to depths of 131', excursions out in cold temperatures down to -22°F, or areas with excessive sand or debris. Whether you're underwater or rumbling on a motorbike, the built-in Electronic Image Stabilization works in up to 4K resolutions at 30 fps, keeping your footage stable. At the rear of the camera, the familiar touchscreen configuration was maintained from the 4K+ camera's predecessor. The intuitive interface lets users of all experience levels select the proper operating settings, from automatic exposure to manual control. When the housing is in place, the camera can still be operated using the one-button interface method. - Sony IMX377 Image Sensor
- The YI 4K is equipped with Sony's IMX377 CMOS sensor, which consumes less power and delivers better low light performance than the previous generation sensor thanks to large 1.55µm pixels. It supports UHD 4K video up to 60 fps, 1080p up to 120 fps, and 12MP photos.
- Ambarella H2 SoC Processor
- The heart of the YI 4K is its Ambarella H2 SoC, quad-core Cortex-A53 ARM processor with 64-bit processing, 14nm architecture, and high-efficiency Digital Signal Processor (DSP). It supports H.264 BP/MP/HP encoding with low-power consumption, even at UHD 4K resolution. The H2 SoC supports lens distortion correction for the wide-angle lens and offers built-in Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS), 3D noise cancellation, and 48 kHz stereo audio.
- Electronic Image Stabilization with 3-Axis Gyroscope and Accelerometer
- To help fight against vibrations and shaky footage, the camera features built-in electronic image stabilization. It utilizes built-in 3-axis gyroscope and 3-axis accelerometer sensors to detect position and motion change and uses algorithms to compensate for unwanted movement and produce clearer, more stable looking footage. The stabilizer on the 4K+ camera work in HD and UHD resolutions.
- LCD Touchscreen
- Enjoy confident image monitoring using the rear 2.2" LCD touchscreen, which features a 640x360 resolution and 330ppi pixel density. The graphical user interface is simple and intuitive, though advanced settings can still be easily accessed for fine-tuning performance as necessary.
- USB Type-C Connector
- Aside from data transfer speeds up to 40 MB/s and camera charging, the versatile USB Type-C port can connect an external microphone for high-quality audio recording or an analog A/V cable for playback on a television or monitor. Another plus, the Type-C connector is bi-directional. No more stripping fragile Micro-B cables or connectors.
Note: Microphone and A/V out connectivity requires separately available cables. - Raw Photo Capture
- For those that prefer to process their photographs post-capture, raw photos can be taken. The raw format preserves as much sensor data for flexible post-production adjustments.
- 7-Element Glass Lens
- An all-glass lens comprised of 7-elements offers a f/2.8 maximum aperture for increased light capture and detailed images.
- Lens Distortion Correction
- Wide-angle distortion is common to many action cameras that often results in a fish-eye like effect. Rather than have to correct this in post-production, the YI 4K eliminates this step by offering in-camera lens correction for reduced distortion and more naturally looking images.
- One-Button and Touchscreen Control
- Simple and intuitive to use, all features and operation and controlled using a single button and the built-in rear touchscreen LCD, bringing smartphone-like simplicity when changing modes and settings.
- Automatically Adjusts to Lighting Conditions
- The Image Signal Processor can be set to automatically adjust the frame rate and parameters to produce optimal results whether you're shooting in bright outdoor environments or low light scenarios.
- Manual Settings Adjustment for Advanced Control
- In addition to auto control modes, you can also manually set parameters such as shutter, exposure value compensation, ISO, metering mode, white balance, and more. Nine individual shooting modes are available.
- YI Action Camera App
- Quickly create 6 to 30 second video edits complete with image/video filters and music options using the YI action Camera App, then share them to social media sites and the global YI community on the YI Discover channel.
- Familiar Design
- The 4K+ uses the same physical dimensions as its predecessor, the YI 4K. This conveniently allows all the same accessories to be used with either camera. If you're upgrading to this camera, all your previous mounting accessories will still work.
