Product description The Zoom H5 Handy Recorder, Headphones, and Accessories Kit from is for anyone looking for a field or camera-mountable recording solution. It consists of a Zoom H5 Handy recorder, a pair of over-ear monitor headphones, a 16GB SDHC card, and a windbuster for the H5's microphones.
The H5 features Zoom's modular mic and input system and includes an XY microphone module. It additionally features 2 XLR/TRS inputs, and is capable of recording 4 tracks simultaneously. It can record directly to the included SHDC card, while the Senal SMH-1000 closed-back headphones provide monitoring. The H5 Handy from Zoom is a compact, portable handheld digital recorder that is capable of four-track recording and features an interchangeable, modular microphone system. The recorder ships with an XY microphone capsule and is compatible with the existing line of H6 modules including the optional shotgun mic and XLR/TRS input modules.
The included XY stereo mic module provides two matched unidirectional condenser microphones set at a 90 degree angle, and features a built-in shockmount system and a maximum SPL of 140dB. Additionally, the recorder is equipped with two inputs for external sources, allowing you to record simultaneously with the included stereo XY mic for a total of four input channels. Each input is controllable by its own analog gain knob, and also has a -20dB pad.
The recorder also has an LCD screen and a side-mounted toggle control for navigating through the menu options. It gives you fast access to transport functions, offering physical control buttons right underneath the screen, and conveniently stores its recorded audio to external SD cards.
In addition to the detachable X/Y capsule, the recorder also ships with a foam windscreen, two AA batteries, a USB cable, WaveLab LE (download), Cubase LE (download), a 2GB SD card, and a hard plastic case. - Features:

There is also a pronounced but smooth midrange that reduces ear fatigue over prolonged periods, while maintaining focus on vocal and dialogue intelligibility.
Designed for flexibility as well as great sound, the SMH-1000 makes use of twist-lock detachable cabling. There are two detachable cables included in each box that can be used interchangeably. There is a stretchable 4 to 10' coiled cable that provides better mobility and reach, that also helps prevent snags from pulling the headphones off of your head. This can be useful when navigating through gear-cluttered recording studio environments. There is also a 3' straight cable that is useful when less slack is ideal, such as when using a waist-mounted field recorder or mixer, or when using your mobile device.

They also have wire guides to keep the ear-cup wires from pinching. The Auray WRW Series Custom Windbusters provide dual layered wind protection and are designed to substantially reduce unwanted broadband wind noise and vocal pops with minimal high frequency loss.
This WRW-H4N Custom Windbuster has been tailor-made to fit the Zoom H4n and is designed to be used either on its own or over a foam windscreen. The simulated fur outer layer works in tandem with the acoustic cloth inner lining to protect the microphone element from air bursts without muffling the sound.
When used on the Zoom H4n, this windbuster is effective in minimizing wind noise and plosive sounds. It is most effective in light breeze to moderate breeze conditions (4-17 mph) and users can generally expect a 20dB to 30dB reduction in wind noise with modest dampening of high frequencies. For most applications, the modest high frequency dampening is a worthwhile exchange for the substantial wind noise reduction.
