Product description 5 Tips for RX Elements Read More This Zoom LiveTrack L-12 Mixer/Recorder Podcast Kit with Two Rode Procaster Mics from B&H brings together the elements necessary to begin recording a 2-person podcast within minutes of opening the box. The Rode Procaster is a broadcast-quality, dynamic microphone that does a great job capturing speakers near the mic without picking up unwanted sounds further away. The included Auray two-section broadcast arms make positioning the mics a snap. The arms' integrated XLR cables plug right into the L-12 recorder, which features high-quality mic preamps and records to an SD card. The L-12 lets you create five individual headphone mixes, allowing you to plug in up to five sets of headphones, each with its own level control. Two pairs of Senal SMH-1000 around-ear headphones are included for precise monitoring in comfort. When you're ready to invite more guests to your podcast, the LiveTrack L-12 accommodates up to eight microphones, which can all be recorded simultaneously to individual tracks. With easy-to-reach faders and knobs for on-the-fly adjustments of levels and effects, the system is fully standalone, but also ready to interface with a computer for live streaming or for more elaborate post-production work. - Zoom LiveTrak L-12 - 12-Channel Digital Mixer & Multitrack Recorder
- Hands-On Review | Zoom LiveTrak L-12
The highly flexible Zoom LiveTrak L-12 is a 12-channel digital mixer and multi-track recorder, well suited for live performances, studio recording, band rehearsals, podcasts, and more. The compact mixer features 8 mono channels, each with combo mic/line XLR-1/4" inputs with high gain, low-noise microphone preamps, +48V phantom power, and a single compression knob, while the two stereo inputs offer dual 1/4" and RCA inputs. Channels 1-2 also offer Hi-Z inputs for connecting guitars and basses. All channels work with the on-board channel strip, which provides a low-cut filter, a 3-band EQ, a pan control, and a send FX for sending signal to the 16 built-in high-quality effects processor with a dedicated EFX Return channel. The main output utilizes balanced XLR outputs, while a stereo monitor send is available via two 1/4" outputs. Additionally, the Zoom LiveTrack L-12 offers five headphone outputs, each with the ability to set up customized mixes. Simply connect your headphones and adjust the levels to taste. There are nine snap-shot presets, which allow you instant recall of different setups and sessions. The built-in SD recorder can simultaneously record every channel and the master fader stereo signal output for a total of 14 tracks at resolutions up to 24-bit/ 96 kHz. Files can easily be copied to a computer and used in a DAW. In addition, overdubbing and punching in/out can be done as expected when using the unit as a multi-track recorder. UPC: 847628578272 - 2 x Senal SMH-1000 Professional Field and Studio Monitor Headphones
- Hands-On Review | Zoom LiveTrak L-12
The SMH-1000 Professional Field and Studio Monitor Headphones from Senal feature a classic closed-back, over-the-ear, collapsible design. With features like interchangeable cables, a refined frequency response, wire guides, superior comfort, and durable materials, the SMH-1000 is ideal for studio and field applications. Equipped with 40mm neodymium drivers at 58-Ohm impedance, the SMH-1000 headphones are designed to be loud enough when attached to low powered devices such as mobile phones and mp3 players, yet robust enough to handle studio headphone amps without distortion. The over-ear, closed-back design is intended to help block unwanted outside noise, which is useful in professional field recording and studio monitoring scenarios where isolation is critical. The headphones are designed with an EQ curve that's been tailored for a slightly enhanced low end that allows field engineers to detect wind noise more effectively, and for studio engineers to monitor bass and sub bass frequencies. The high frequency response has been extended to accurately reproduce spatial detail. There is also a pronounced but smooth midrange that reduces ear fatigue over prolonged periods, while maintaining focus on vocal and dialogue intelligibility. Designed for flexibility as well as great sound, the SMH-1000 makes use of twist-lock detachable cabling. There are two detachable cables included in each box that can be used interchangeably. There is a stretchable 4 to 10' coiled cable that provides better mobility and reach, that also helps prevent snags from pulling the headphones off of your head. This can be useful when navigating through gear-cluttered recording studio environments. There is also a 3' straight cable that is useful when less slack is ideal, such as when using a waist-mounted field recorder or mixer, or when using your mobile device. The SMH-1000 has been built with convenience, practicality and comfort in mind as well. The headphones have a collapsible folding mechanism for compact storage and transport. They also have wire guides to keep the ear-cup wires from pinching. Furthermore, they are fitted with a padded headband and soft, replaceable ear cushions to maximize comfort during extended listening. - An excellent choice for commercial recording, broadcast, home studios, and live and location sound. Also great for home and portable entertainment.
