Product description With a dedicated serial port, the 3049 V.92 56K External 56K Data/Fax Modem from Zoom is easy to plug into nearly any computer running Windows, Mac, Linux, or Unix. Support for the V.92 networking standard ensures increased data transfer rates while the V.44 standard provides enhanced data compression. With a dedicated RS-232 serial port you can plug this modem into nearly any device that provides signaling for transmit, receive, and ground including point-of-sale devices and dumb terminals. Additional features of this 56K modem include support for DTMF tones, call progress tone detection, modem-on-hold and more. Once configured you can take advantage of downloadable firmware making it easy to keep your modem up to date. - Faster Negotiation
