Product description Supporting wireless data transfer speeds of up to 2600 Mbps, the Armor Z2 Wireless-AC2600 Dual Band Gigabit Router from ZyXEL can handle data intensive tasks such as streaming multimedia content, downloading large files, and more all at the same time. Backing up the enhanced data transfer speeds is integrated MU-MIMO technology designed to provide multiple data streams to reduce traffic congestion. Inside the Armor Z2 you will find a 1.7 GHz dual-core processor complete with ZyXEL's own StreamBoost technology built to handle 4K video streaming and online gaming without a hiccup.
The Armor Z2 operates on both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies and supports the 802.11a/b/g/n/ac wireless networking standards. Along with the 1.7 GHz dual-core processor, this router comes equipped with 512 MB of RAM and 4 GB of eMMC memory. Additionally, users can take advantage of four Gigabit Ethernet ports for fast, reliable, wired network access. Along with the four Gigabit Ethernet ports, devices like USB printers and hard drives can be plugged into either the single USB 2.0 port or single USB 3.0 port. Once connected those devices can be used by any client connected to the network.
ZyXEL has incorporated a variety of network features into this router giving the administrator complete control over virtually all aspects of the network. The built-in Usage Monitor makes it easy to see how much bandwidth is being used by various applications while Dynamic QoS functionality simplifies the process of allocating bandwidth to ensure applications have the ability to operate smoothly. Users can also connect to the router remotely using the ZyXEL ONE Connect App to track and manage network connections as well as the status of the network. - MU-MIMO for Up to 3x Faster Performance
- The ZyXEL ARMOR Z2 AC2600 MU-MIMO Dual-Band Wireless Gigabit Router supports 802.11ac Wave 2 MU-MIMO technology to provide accelerated Wi-Fi speed for all devices. It supports 160 MHz channel bandwidth which is double the bandwidth of a traditional channel. When connected with MU-MIMO-compatible Wi-Fi devices, the ARMOR Z2 is capable of achieving up to 3x performance over traditional Wi-Fi speeds.
- Dynamic QoS with Powerful Processing Power
- The ZyXEL ARMOR Z2 allows you to run as many networking applications as you want without sacrificing your network streaming experience or increasing online game latency. The StreamBoost technology intelligently provides the most up-to-date gaming database and manages your Internet bandwidth for all your networking needs without the need to setup complicated QoS.
- Beamforming Antennas
- Unlike traditional wireless routers that scatter signals everywhere, ZyXEL ARMOR Z2's four adjustable high performance antennas with beamforming coverage pinpoint the focus on your wireless device. Even while you are moving around, it can track your location and focus the wireless connection for a strong signal.
- Usage Monitor
- The ZyXEL ARMOR Z2's Usage Monitor allows you to view the home network bandwidth utilized by applications and clients. If a threshold of Internet plan usage has been set, you will receive a message from the system once the limit is reached.
