Product description The UAG2100 Unified Access Gateway from ZyXEL is an all-in-one wireless hotspot, router, 4-port switch, and access gateway. The UAG2100 has been designed for hospitality solutions including offices, coffee shops, libraries, hotels, and airport terminals. It delivers account management, billing, and data retention capabilities, as well as 802.11a/b/g/n dual-radio (2.4 and 5 GHz) Wi-Fi and a built-in WLAN controller.
The UAG2100 is able to deliver increased Wi-Fi bandwidth, capacity, and performance to accommodate the growing number of users in need of mobile internet. Its 802.11/a/b/g/n dual-radio design provides increased bandwidth and spectrum to accommodate the growing number of wireless devices. By default, it can support 100 concurrent logins and up to 200 concurrent logins with an optional license upgrade. Bandwidth management capabilities are also offered to enforce equal bandwidth sharing and avoid bandwidth abuse. Businesses are also able to manage guest accounts, block unauthorized access, and generate revenue with their Internet services. Depending on the business model, the UAG2100 allows Wi-Fi to be offered as a free service, a tiered service (premium when a purchase is made), or a paid service.
The UAG2100 Unified Access Gateway operates on a 12VDC / 3A current and consumes a maximum of 28W. It includes a power adapter, a rack mounting kit, and an antenna. Users who wish to upgrade the number of concurrent users that are allowed may purchase the ZyXEL UAG2100 Unified Access Gateway Expansion License. - Guest Account Management
- Featuring a built-in account generator and a Web-based authentication portal, the UAG2100 helps hotspots provide controlled network access to guests. Simply by entering the provided account information in the captive portal, guests can get secure wired or wireless access to the Internet. Additionally, the UAG2100 supports external RADIUS servers and external portal page redirection for added deployment flexibility

- Hotspots can create up to 10 pre-paid billing plans with the UAG2100. Billing plans can be customized with varying bandwidth speeds, service durations, and levels of payment
- SP350E Service Gateway Printer
- The SP350E and UAG2100 combination work well together regarding Wi-Fi hotspot applications. The SP350E enables one-click billing and account generation, which offers easy operation for staff members and smooth services flows in hotel lobbies, conference rooms, waiting areas, and busy restaurants and cafes
- SMS Ticketing
- The UAG2100 supports SMS ticketing with ViaNett to provide improved convenience for both the business owner and the customer. With support for SMS ticketing, the UAG2100 allows business owners to send Internet account and billing information directly to the customer's mobile phone, without needing to spend money building an independent SMS ticketing system. This feature offers a cheaper and more environment-friendly ticketing solution compared to paper ticketing and reduces the inconvenience related to customers losing or forgetting paper tickets.
