Product description The Dorrough 40-P Stereo/Mono Balance Meter accepts either mono or stereo signals and displays a readout beginning at the center. Left channel level is indicated by a continuous row af LEDs fanning out to the left from center. Right channel level is indicated by a continuous row of LEDs directed out to the right from center. When in Balanced Discrete Mode, the difference between the two sides presents a relative visual balance reference in amplitude. When in Balanced Center Point Mode, perfect parity is achieved when the two center green LEDs go dark (null mode). A jack is provided with a switch for selection between the two modes of operation. - Mono and Stereo Signal Meter
- The Model 40-P Balance Meter provides convenient display of both mono and stereo signal parity as two indications starting at center scale, with signal amplitudes extending out from either side of center. Any imbalance between the two signals is displayed at a glance.
- Discrete Balance
- LEFT/RIGHT average is displayed as discrete left/right bars from center. This mode is activated at center "off" toggle-switch (supplied) position
- Center Balance
- A mathematical derivation of average center point between LEFT/RIGHT is displayed as a bar from "null" center point. Simultaneously, the crest of both left and right average is displayed as discrete segments (LEDs), one segment to the left of "null center" and one to the right. This mode is activated by switching toggle-switch to top and bottom "on" positions.
