Product description The Fujitsu fi-5950 Color Duplex Document Scanner is an extremely fast document scanner with speeds of up to 135 ppm ipm with A4-sized sheets in landscape orientation at 300 dpi. The scanner has a good optical resolution of 600 dpi to ensure high quality scans and has a color depth of up to 24-bit. In addition to this quality and speed, the scanner is even capable of automatic duplex scanning at up to 270 ipm.
Document handling is important in ensuring speedy, high quality scans. The fi-5950 uses a 500-sheet automatic document feeder to handle the paper. This system is able to scan documents as small as 2 x 3" or as large as A3 12 x 17" documents. There is also a long page scanning mode that allows for documents up to 120" long. Durability for this machine is also very good with an expected daily volume rated at 60,000 to 100,000 sheets. Assisting with this are three ultrasonic multi-feed detection sensors which ensure that the scan is only taking one sheet at a time.
The fi-5950 scanner comes with a variety of software and drivers, including standard ISIS and TWAIN support. Kofax VRS Professional is bundled with the scanner and it features SCSI and USB 2.0 interfaces. Additionally, this scanner is both ENERGY STAR certified and RoHS compliant. - Two color CCD image sensors, one in front and one in back
