Product description The iEQ30 Pro EQ GoTo Mount from iOptron features a motorized equatorial mount, the Go2Nova 8407+ computer hand controller, a 2" stainless steel adjustable tripod, and a polar axis scope for faster alignment and setup. Employing the larger tripod offers increased stability with reduced vibrations versus smaller tripods, making the viewing experience more satisfying. The mount has a Vixen-style dovetail saddle for mounting compatible telescope optical tube assemblies (OTAs) and accessories of up to 30 pounds. Its built-in 32-channel GPS receiver sends your location and time to the Go2Nova hand controller for a more accurate and faster setup and alignment. The stepper motor is controlled by the Go2Nova 8407+ hand controller with an LCD screen that has internal heating in order to be operational in cold weather. It features 8 lines with 21 characters on each line, with an internal database of more than 359,000 celestial objects from comets and asteroids to galaxies and nebulae. With nine slew speeds up to 6° arcsec and automatic tracking capabilities, finding and keeping objects centered in the field of view is easy no matter whether you're viewing the fast-moving Moon or much slower deep-space subjects. The included AccuAligning polar axis scope can be installed through the body of the mount, and the design of the counterweight ensures an unimpeded view through the alignment scope regardless of its position. This is especially critical for long viewing periods or astrophotography where periodic adjustments might be required. For precise tracking, as required during long-exposure astrophotography, the iEQ30 Pro can be programmed for the Permanent Periodic Error Correction (PPEC) common in every worm gear. - German Equatorial Mount
