Product description CES 2017: MSI Launches New B250, H270, and Z270 Motherboards Read More The MSI Z270-A Pro ATX Motherboard is built with durability features along with an Intel Z270 chipset and LGA1151 socket to create a reliable business desktop solution, which runs on a 6th- or 7th-generation Intel processor. This motherboard supports up to 64GB of DDR4 memory modules, via four DIMM slots, as well as six SATA-based storage and optical drives. For performance, you can overclock your memory chips to speeds of up to 3800 MHz and install two dedicated graphics cards and then link them with AMD CrossFire technology. In addition, an M.2 slot is on board to accommodate a PCIe-based SSD, which can operate faster than an SSD with a SATA interface.
The Z270-A Pro motherboard comes outfitted with four USB 3.0 and two USB 2.0 ports to access your printers, external storage drives, and other USB devices. Visuals can be deliver by an integrated Intel graphics chipset through the motherboard's DisplayPort, DVI-D, and VGA outputs. To access the network, MSI has equipped it with a Gigabit Ethernet port. Other notable connections include six audio jacks that surround you in 7.1-channel sounds utilizing a Realtek ALC892 audio processor. There's also a PS/2 port for your mouse or keyboard. If you need addition connections, four PCIe 3.0 x1 slots allow you to install sold-separately Wi-Fi adapter and USB cards. - Intel Z270 Chipset

I insert one in the DIMMA2 slot and the other in the DIMMB2 slot and computer does not boot up. I remove the card from the DIMMB2 slot and the computer is able to boot up. Is there a way to fix the DIMMB2 slot myself or is this motherboard doomed to only run a single channel, one memory card now? | | Post reply |
