Product description The Axis Communications P7224 Video Encoder Blade (10-Pack) compresses audio and video signals from 4 analog surveillance cameras into digital data for transmission over the network. This encoder blade helps simplify migration to network without upgrading your existing camera systems.
The P7224 encoder blade supports H.264 and M-JPEG formats, which help in compressing high-quality audio and video signals without compromising on clarity. The H.264 format drastically reduces bandwidth and storage requirements without affecting the image quality, while M-JPEG increases storage flexibility.
Furthermore, the quad-view mode feature allows you to simultaneously view up to 4 footage windows on a single display screen for live monitoring at D1 resolution. You can control the compatible PTZ cameras via the RS-485 and RS-422 cables. The 2-way audio transmission mode in this encoder lets you speak and listen over the network clearly. - Accepts audio and video signals from up to 4 analog cameras
- Supports H.264 and M-JPEG compression formats
- Allows simultaneous viewing of footage from 4 different locations
- Can be used with Axis Q7900 Rack (in which up to 56 analog cameras can be supported in one 4U, 19" rack) and Axis 291 1U Video Server Rack
- Motion detection program sends an e-mail notification when an alarm is triggered and prompts the camera to capture footage when any movement is detected
- Full/half duplex audio streaming allows you to simultaneously send and receive audio signals
- RS-485 port lets you control analog PTZ cameras with pan, tilt, zoom, focus, iris, and preset position functions via the RS-485 cable
- Enables you to activate lights as well as lock and unlock doors for safety by connecting the external relays and sensors to the configurable inputs/outputs
- Ethernet port allows you to easily connect the encoder to the network via the RJ-45 cable
- User access control prevents unauthorized use of the encoder
- Privacy masking prevents users from viewing confidential videos of the monitored area
- System can be remotely controlled and configured
- Open Application Programming Interface (API) for software integration, including VAPIX from Axis Communications
- Supports Axis Video Hosting System (AVHS) with One-Click Camera connection for developing video monitoring services over the Internet
