Product description The MuxLab 500100 Active CCTV Transmitter Balun (12VDC) allows a single CCTV video signal to be transmitted via a Cat5 UTP (Unshielded Twisted Pair) cable. Installed at the CCTV camera, the balun features manual gain compensation adjustment that enhances the brightness, sharpness and color intensity of the video signal, based on the actual cable conditions. The balun derives 12VDC power from the camera power supply and features surge protection on power input. When used in conjunction with passive CCTV baluns at the receiver, the transmission distance supported is up to 3000' (914m); it can be extended to 6000' (1828m) when an active balun is connected between the CCTV camera and a receiver such as a DVR, multiplexer or video switcher. Made of ABS fire retardant plastic, the 500100 transmitter balun securely fits between the CCTV dome camera and the back box and has a ground loop isolation of up to ±5V between the input and output. Compatible with other MuxLab CCTV baluns, it can work in marginal cabling installations or installations that are ground loop sensitive. - Allows a single CCTV video signal to be transmitted via a Cat5 UTP (Unshielded Twisted Pair) cable
